Meet Ashley, mother of three boys and post-breast reduction success story.

Hi, I'm Ashley! I have three boys ages 8, almost 6 and 3. I nursed my oldest until 19 months, my middle until almost 2 and my youngest weaned right before turning 3.

I had a breast reduction at 20, so was very anxious that breastfeeding wouldn't be possible, but was so lucky that I had a fairly easy time of it with all three.

I wasn’t involved with LLL until recently, because my oldest son was born in Australia; but I found the attitudes towards nursing there (thanks to their midwife-led culture) were invaluable to my ability to successfully nurse. I love to be involved to help out new moms, because I definitely know what it feels like to be a first-timer without a lot of familial influences or support surrounding breastfeeding.

My favorite nursing spot was either my bed or anywhere with snacks!
