Get Involved
You love this community because it was there when you needed support. You can keep it going by giving back – time, leadership, or financial support.
Pass on what helped you
The baby days go fast, and before you've caught up on sleep, it's already time for play dates and PTA meetings. As your little ones grow, consider paying forward the support that got you through by giving a little bit of your time.
Parents who found help here keep it going in ways that fit real life. Most take less than hour.
- Bring snacks to a meeting
- Answer new-parent questions on our social media
- Drop flyers at your doctor's office
- Run porch pick-ups and drop-offs of books or scales
- Organize a toddler park meet-up
- Help with an event
- Share what you know with new parents
Every leader started as a mom
Not every mom becomes a leader, but every leader was a mom first. If you're ready to move from attending meetings to leading them, we'll back you with mentorship and a community of leaders along the way.
Leaders help parents learn to breastfeed, understand their baby's needs, and find what works best for their family.
What accreditation gives you:
- Continuing education credits (CERPs)
- Helping hours that count toward IBCLC certification
- Leader resources, support, and liability insurance
- A local co-mentoring group
- Flexible volunteer hours
- Nonprofit leadership experience

Every dollar stays local
While La Leche League Leaders are all volunteers, the resources that support them and the parents they serve are not free. These may include things like books for our lending library, leader training, printed materials, and more. 100% of your tax-deductible gift goes directly to programs for parents in Chattanooga and surrounding areas.
